Building Emotional Resilience and Wellbeing in Children and Young People

This course will be run by two highly experienced HOW (Hazel Oak Wellbeing) Team members who specialise in providing individualised support to students in areas of self-care, emotional well-being, social skills and relationships.

Outcomes of this course:

  • To understand what resilience is and the theories underpinning it
  • Feel confident to support children and their families in developing emotional literacy
  • Gain practical and creative strategies to support and develop children’s emotional resilience in your settings

An afternoon of creative and innovative strategies discussed to ensure you walk away with a better understanding of how to recognise and support children with low self-esteem. This course provides an insight into how beliefs and attitudes shape learning and motivation and includes metacognitive strategies such as mindfulness and relaxation to promote self-regulation and positive thinking.
